National Hero Ivan Gapich Laid to Rest in Oral

In Oral, National Hero Ivan Stepanovich Gapich was laid to rest. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

Ivan Gapich died at the age of 103. After the war, he served in the prosecutor's office for many years.

The farewell ceremony for the distinguished figure was attended by Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Kazakhstan Galymzhan Koigeldiev. He expressed condolences to Ivan Stepanovich's family and friends on behalf of the Prosecutor General.

"Ivan Stepanovich's name will forever remain in the history of the national prosecutor's office as a symbol of courage, faithful service to the state, and boundless dedication to his work," said Koigeldiev.

Residents of the city also came to the farewell ceremony. Ivan Gapich was escorted on his final journey accompanied by a military orchestra. Soldiers fired three volleys in his honor.
