Social media users have begun to construct dark theories and suspect British singer James Blunt, known for the hit You're Beautiful, of involvement. According to The Standard, the rumors were sparked by Panettiere's memoirs, which were released three months before her death. In them, the actress recalled a frightening incident from her youth. At 18, an older friend lured her into a yacht cabin where a naked famous British musician lay in bed. Netizens immediately decided it was Blunt, and the friend was socialite Diana Jenkins.
Fuel was added to the fire by Blunt's new music video, released the day before the actress's death. In it, the musician kidnaps a person, takes them on a boat, kills them, and cooks them for dinner. Internet detectives immediately decided this was not just a coincidence. On social media, Blunt was accused of eliminating Panettiere and having ties to a secret escort network for the elite.
Conspiracy theorists also recalled the singer's friendship with the daughters of Prince Andrew, a figure in the Jeffrey Epstein case. A real witch hunt began in the comments under Blunt's posts. Fans are demanding the artist be "canceled" and claiming he is involved in dark affairs.
Blunt himself denied all accusations. He published an article proving that at the time of their joint photos with Panettiere in 2009, she was already almost 20 years old, not 18. Representatives of Jenkins also stated that all rumors are false and threatened gossips with a lawsuit.
