According to Inna Rey, chairperson of the corporate fund "Turistik qamqor" and the Association of Tour Operators of Kazakhstan, the incident should not be linked to the tourism industry, as it is a domestic conflict between people.
"I would still attribute this case to domestic issues of human relations. Since they turned out to be tourists, it is just a relationship between people. Tourists have not reacted to this story in any way, there are no complaints, no claims," Rey noted.
According to her data, no cancellations of bookings or decline in demand for trips to Georgia after the incident have been recorded. The destination remains one of the most popular among Kazakh tourists.
Meanwhile, the investigation into the conflict continues. As reported by Sova, a court in Georgia released Georgiy Chigladze, accused of attacking a Russian tourist, on bail of 5,000 lari. During the hearing, he expressed regret over the incident. The investigation continues to examine the circumstances of the conflict and the actions of both parties.
