Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Grigorenko said that artificial intelligence technology has no borders, and therefore an international approach to its regulation must be developed. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

The need for international regulation

Grigorenko made the statement at the plenary session of the II Global Digital Forum, RIA Novosti reported.

"Rules apply within the territories of states. But artificial intelligence is a technology without borders. Therefore, the world must develop an international approach to its regulation. Work in this direction has already begun," Grigorenko noted.

Russia's AI development

The deputy prime minister noted that Russia is actively developing its own artificial intelligence technologies. Currently, more than 1,300 software products that use artificial intelligence are registered in the national software registry.
