On July 11, 2026, Tang Ngok-kwan posed for photographs in Victoria Park, an area where a candlelight vigil was held to commemorate the Tiananmen crackdown. He also visited the clock tower in Tsim Sha Tsui, where he used to have long runs with fellow activists to commemorate the event. He bought newspapers at a street newsstand in Mong Kok and visited The Chinese University of Hong Kong, where the statue of the Goddess of Democracy was placed. He also showed documents commemorating the Tiananmen crackdown.

According to Associated Press, Tang Ngok-kwan was an organizer of the vigil in Hong Kong. Despite his convictions, he continues to mark the anniversary.
