Gennady Golovkin, president of the international federation World Boxing and head of the National Olympic Committee of Kazakhstan, has been added to the database of the Ukrainian website Myrotvorets. The profile of the famous Kazakh boxer appeared on the resource on August 15. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The site's organizers accused the head of World Boxing of "publicly supporting Russian aggression." The reason was the decision of the federation's governing body to fully lift restrictions on Russian and Belarusian athletes.
In July of this year, World Boxing allowed boxers from Russia and Belarus to participate in international tournaments of all ages under their national symbols. Recall that this international structure governs Olympic boxing and conducts qualifying competitions for the 2028 Olympic Games.
In an official statement, the executive committee of World Boxing emphasized that Russian athletes will compete on equal terms with boxers from other countries, but the organization will continue to strictly monitor their behavior and compliance with anti-doping protocols.
"The Myrotvorets Center asks law enforcement agencies to consider this publication on the site as a statement about the commission by this citizen of deliberate acts against the national security of Ukraine, peace, security of humanity and international legal order, as well as other offenses," the card of Golovkin on the Ukrainian resource reads.
The process of returning athletes began in the spring. In March, the executive council of World Boxing approved the applications of the Boxing Federations of Russia and Belarus to join the organization, after which it sent a request to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) for clarifications on the conditions for admitting athletes.
Gennady Golovkin has headed World Boxing since November 23, 2025. At the time of publication, no official comments from the boxer himself, the NOC of Kazakhstan, or the World Boxing representation regarding the inclusion in the Myrotvorets database had been received.
What is the Myrotvorets website?
Myrotvorets is a Ukrainian Internet resource created in 2014 as an unofficial public database into which activists enter information about people whose actions they regard as a threat to Ukraine's national security. The portal publishes personal data of public figures, politicians, journalists and athletes from around the world who have displeased the project's authors. Authorities of several countries and international human rights organizations have repeatedly criticized the site for publishing personal data and lacking legal transparency.
