President of the National Olympic Committee of Kazakhstan Gennady Golovkin has been elected vice-president of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Association (ISSA). This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

The election was held on 12 September in Taif (Saudi Arabia) as part of the 15th ISSA General Assembly. Golovkin joined the Executive Committee for 2026–2029 as vice-president for the regions of Asia and Europe.

«In his new position, Gennady Golovkin will represent the National Olympic Committees of Asian and European countries in the ISSA leadership.
