GES Myrzatai plans to build a high-voltage line in 2027 that will connect the first phase of a 50 MW combined-cycle gas power plant in Aishabibi village, Zhambyl region, to the Zhambyl substation of KEGOC. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

The company did not specify the completion timeline for the power plant itself.

"The working project being developed 'Construction of a 210 MW combined-cycle gas power plant in Aishabibi village, Zhambyl region. First construction phase (50 MW GTU + 20 MW PTU). Second construction phase (100 MW GTU + 40 MW PTU)... Tentative start of work: Q1-Q2 2027. Construction duration: 3-5 months. Tentative completion date of the planned activity: Q3-Q4 2027,'" reads the document available to Kursiv.

For the first phase of the power plant, the company has already received an environmental impact screening assessment. The second phase is still at an early development stage, the company clarified.

Details on the construction of the power plant itself will be presented in a separate project, GES Myrzatai said. Logically, the connection to the power grid should occur around the same time as the launch of the first phase, as it is a necessary condition for selling the generated electricity.

Co-owners of GES Myrzatai are Kazakh Nantian Energy Limited, a private company registered at the Astana International Financial Centre (whose sole owner is Hong Kong-registered Auspicious Fly International Trade Co., Limited), and Serzhan Alimov. The head of GES Myrzatai and Kazakh Nantian Energy Limited is Hou Chuanchun.

On November 17, 2025, the akimat of Zhambyl region announced the start of construction of a 50 MW combined-cycle gas power plant. A symbolic capsule-laying ceremony was held with the participation of regional akim Yerbol Karashukeyev. The total investment in the project was then estimated at $60 million – the station was expected to be built in Auliekol village, Zhambyl district.

The implementation involved two stages: the first was to build a 50 MW station, and the second to increase its capacity by 150 MW, bringing the total capacity to 200 MW. For comparison, the region's largest energy facility, Zhambyl GRES, has a capacity of 1107 MW.

The company received a 7-hectare land plot, identified a general contractor, and obtained technical conditions for connecting the future power plant to gas. During the construction phase, 500 people will be employed; after the station is launched, 80 people.
