A 31-year-old British woman was fatally stabbed at a train station in Rosenheim, southern Germany. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Associated Press.
The attack occurred early Sunday morning. According to Rosenheim police, the woman was attacked at the station, taken to a nearby hospital, and died from her injuries.
Federal police officers called to the scene detained the suspect immediately after the stabbing. The suspect is a 27-year-old German man from the nearby county of Fürstenfeldbruck.
Police did not release the names of the victim or the suspect, citing German privacy rules. They are still investigating the circumstances and motive behind the crime.
Police asked any witnesses to come forward, especially those who may have seen "an argument or a physical altercation" in the early hours of Saturday night into Sunday at the train station.
