In July 2026, the Geely Galaxy EX5 EM-i became the best-selling hybrid car in Kazakhstan. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
According to the Association of Kazakhstan Auto Business (AKAB), 255 units of this model were sold during the month – about 60% more than in June.
Since the beginning of the year, sales of the Geely Galaxy EX5 EM-i have reached 910 units. The growing demand coincides with a broader increase in Kazakhstani interest in vehicles with hybrid powertrains, which combine city efficiency with long range for highway trips.
The Geely Galaxy became part of the portfolio of the Kazakh automaker Allur in 2025, and production of the EX5 EM-i was organized at a plant in Kostanay. The model became the first passenger hybrid car to be manufactured in Kazakhstan.
The Geely Galaxy EX5 EM-i can travel up to 1,003 km on a full tank and charged battery, with up to 100 km on electric power alone. The weighted fuel consumption in the combined cycle is about 2.4 L/100 km, and when used without regular recharging, about 6–6.3 L/100 km.
The electric motor produces 218 hp. The car also comes with a suite of safety systems, driver assistance electronics, and digital features.
“The growing interest in the Geely Galaxy is driven not only by the vehicles’ advanced technology but also by accessible purchase conditions. Customers are offered special prices, credit programs with no down payment, and the option to buy under the Trade-in program. The price of the Geely Galaxy EX5 EM-i under the special offer starts from 12,099,000 tenge,” the company said.
The July result allowed the model to take first place in the hybrid segment and simultaneously strengthened the position of locally produced vehicles with alternative powertrains on the Kazakh market.
