Chinese company Geely Galaxy has opened pre-sales for its first body-on-frame SUV — the Galaxy Zhanjian 700 (also known as the Cruiser 700). This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

Pricing and trim levels

The model was offered in six trim levels priced from 200,000 to 390,000 yuan (about 13.3–26 million tenge). The limited Land Ark series of 700 vehicles has already sold out.

Record demand

Interest in the new model proved high right from the start of sales. The SUV received its first 10,000 preliminary orders in 9 minutes, and within an hour their number reached 43,900.

Design features

The Cruiser 700 received the signature Oriental Lion design. Large daytime running lights, the Sky Eye lighting system and an illuminated logo are installed at the front.

Hybrid powertrain

The SUV is built on the Thor EM-T AI hybrid system with three electric motors and 1.5-litre petrol engines producing 120 kW or 2.0-litre units producing 160 kW. The combined output of the top version reaches 830 kW, or 1,113 hp, while wheel torque is 13,920 N·m.

Acceleration to 100 km/h takes 3.95 seconds. The manufacturer also claims it completes the "moose test" at a speed of 80 km/h.

Battery and range

The Geely Galaxy Cruiser 700 is equipped with a CATL LFP battery with a capacity of 47.14 kWh. On electric power it can travel up to 305 km on the CLTC cycle, while the total range exceeds 1,200 km. In separate tests, according to the manufacturer, the figure reached 1,700 km.

An 800-volt fast charging system and fuel consumption of 5.95 l/100 km with a discharged battery are also claimed.

Interior equipment

The cabin features a multimedia system with five screens. There is also an 18.5-litre refrigerator and massage seats in the front.

Off-road capabilities

For off-road driving, a digital chassis with 17 modes is provided, including Crab Walk and Waltz Turn. The latter reduces the minimum turning radius to 3.36 m.

An emergency floating mode is also claimed separately: when the permissible wading depth is exceeded, the vehicle can retain the ability to move on water for up to 40 minutes.
