GE Aerospace has agreed to acquire castings maker CPP for approximately $12 billion. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Reuters.

The deal is one of the largest in the aviation industry. CPP specializes in producing complex metal castings for aircraft engines. This acquisition will allow GE Aerospace to strengthen its supply chain and expand control over casting technologies.

The deal is expected to close by the end of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals. GE Aerospace's management noted that this step aligns with the company's long-term strategy and will bring additional value to customers.

No changes are expected regarding CPP's employees and operations. GE Aerospace plans to improve product quality and optimize costs through this acquisition.
