Popular Kazakh stand-up comedian Galym Kaliakbarov has broken his silence after the disruption and cancellation of his concerts in Astana and Almaty. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The comedian's family has grown. Galym Kaliakbarov and his wife Aida took home a Shiba Inu dog from the Inu Foundation, an animal welfare organization. The foundation also published a photo of the happy family.
The foundation said the couple was not put off by the fact that Tami was a stray dog. According to Inu Foundation representatives, the couple consciously decided to give her a home and became her new family.
"For our foundation, it is a huge joy that Tami has found a family. We are also glad that media personalities are showing by their example that stray and shelter dogs deserve love," the foundation wrote on its Threads account.
Recall that on August 19, 2026, Kaliakbarov's performance in Astana was stopped due to the lack of the required notification for a mass event. The organizers were invited to the police department of the Yesil district, where a preventive conversation was held with them. They were explained the requirements of the law and the risks of holding unsanctioned mass events. After the conversation, all participants were released.
Following this, the comedian's concert in Almaty on August 21 was also cancelled.
Later, Kaliakbarov said he himself cancelled the concerts and took a break due to problems with depression. He also apologized to the Almaty akimat for the negativity directed at it and thanked the audience for their support.
Earlier, Kursiv LifeStyle investigated whether the cancellation of the stand-up comedian's concerts continued.
