At the G7 summit in Evian-les-Bains, France, President Donald Trump was buoyed by support from his counterparts for his tentative agreement with Iran to end the war. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Associated Press.
Trump, not known as a fan of international gatherings, changed his tune at this year's summit. Weeks earlier, he had sharply criticized counterparts for refusing to join the U.S. and Israel in bombing Iran to force it to abandon nuclear aspirations. Last year, he spent only a day at the G7 before cutting out early.
"We found a great deal of unity," Trump said. During the summit, he met with India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi, attended a working lunch with French President Emmanuel Macron, and joined a private dinner at the Palace of Versailles celebrating the USA's 250th birthday.
