A destructive tornado that swept through villages in southern France has injured more than 40 people. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing BBC News.
An eyewitness from the village of Verzeille recorded the tornado forming beneath a thunderstorm. In the village of Pomas, winds of more than 100 km/h (62 mph) ripped the roofs off homes.
Local authorities say about 2,800 households were still without electricity on Monday evening, while several roads were blocked.
