On July 17, a ceremony marked the start of construction of a distribution hub for Fix Price Group PLC (whose shares are listed on the Astana International Financial Centre exchange – AIX) with an area of 35,000 square meters, the company reported. Fix Price is one of the world's largest and Russia's leading chain of low fixed-price stores. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
"On July 17, a groundbreaking ceremony for the hub took place. The project will be implemented by the Kazakh company Focus Logistics (part of the Bazis group of companies). NF GROUP acted as the transaction advisor," the distributed statement said.
The logistics hub will be located in the capital's industrial zone at Ondiris Street, plot 109B. The complex's location in Astana's industrial and logistics center will reduce transportation costs and provide the facility with the necessary labor resources, the company stated. The distribution center will be built on a built-to-suit (BTS) model, meaning it can be adapted to the company's current needs.
The ceremony was attended by Khalel Akimzhanov, head of the Department for Investment and Entrepreneurship Development of Astana. Speaking at the event, he noted that the project's implementation is of strategic importance for the development of the capital's and the country's logistics infrastructure.
"Creating a modern distribution center for the international retail chain Fix Price will be an important step in developing Kazakhstan's logistics infrastructure. The project will improve the efficiency of goods supply, accelerate cargo movement, and strengthen Astana's position as one of Central Asia's key logistics centers," he said.
According to him, the city akimat will provide comprehensive support and accompaniment at all stages of the project, ensuring favorable conditions for the investor.
"Our chain is one of the largest participants in Kazakhstan's retail market. To move forward, it is important for us to maintain high standards of customer service and constantly develop and optimize our processes. Having our own distribution center will allow us to increase the efficiency of warehouse operations, reduce costs, and strengthen our market position," said Alexey Ermakov, Director of Fix Price Kazakhstan.
In turn, Dias Galiyev, General Director of Focus Logistics, stated the company's commitment to the comprehensive development of modern logistics infrastructure in Kazakhstan.
"The implementation of the new distribution center will be an important step in expanding our presence in the region. The project will be created taking into account the customer's technical requirements and will help build a more efficient store supply system, reduce delivery times, and increase the reliability of product flows. This makes the deal significant not only for its participants but also for end consumers," he assured.
Konstantin Fomichenko, partner at NF GROUP, noted that for the further development of the international retail chain Fix Price in Kazakhstan and ensuring uninterrupted supplies to the company's stores, a full-fledged modern logistics center is needed.
"After the conclusion of the deal on July 17, 2026, with our long-term partner Focus Logistics, Fix Price, with which we also have a long-standing cooperation, will receive a quality facility in a favorable location and within a clear timeframe," he said.
Kazakhstan is one of Fix Price's key markets. The company has been operating in the country since 2016. According to the analytical agency INFOLine, Fix Price annually ranks among the leaders of the fastest-growing retail chains in Kazakhstan, increasing the number of stores faster than other retailers. At the end of the first quarter of 2026, the chain had 399 stores, 14% more than a year earlier. Fix Price stores in Kazakhstan today are modern, convenient retail outlets with a diverse assortment of necessary and quality goods.
Bazis is owned by the Belovich family (business founder and head of the family Alexander Belovich), which ranks 15th on the Forbes list of the richest Kazakhs with a fortune of $681 million.
Focus Logistics built a 42,000 sq m logistics center in the Almaty region for Russian Ozon, as reported in 2023. In October 2025, the regional akimat announced that a total of 70 billion tenge would be invested in the project near the Aksengir railway station, and the then-opened Ozon logistics center with an area of 41,000 sq m became the first phase of the project.
Astana Akim Zhenis Kassymbek, following a recent meeting of the investment headquarters, reported that projects with a total investment of about 100 billion tenge were presented. Among them was an unnamed project for the construction of a multifunctional logistics distribution complex, a complex of hardware stores, a mining and metallurgical laboratory complex, a production complex for manufacturing lighting masts, a geochemical laboratory, and other facilities.
