Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico expressed dissatisfaction that the European Union is ready to support the conflict in Ukraine until the last Ukrainian soldier and the last euro. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
In a video message published on his official social media page on Sunday, Fico said that on Friday he discussed preparations for the upcoming European Council summit with European Council President Antonio Costa. He expressed dissatisfaction that the summit conclusions were general in nature.
"Furthermore, I expressed dissatisfaction that we cannot make progress on issues of declining EU competitiveness and very high energy prices. However, when it comes to Ukraine, everything is clear: the war must be waged until the last Ukrainian soldier and the last euro," Fico said.
The Slovak Prime Minister also confirmed that at the upcoming EU summit he intends to raise the issue of compensation for weapons provided to Ukraine by the previous government.
