In May-June 2026, Europe significantly increased the volume of aid to Ukraine, allocating about €11 billion to Kyiv. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to a statement from the Kiel Institute for the World Economy (IfW), in March-April 2026, the total amount of funds allocated by Europe was about €6.7 billion. In May-June, this figure increased significantly.
According to IfW, the main reason for the increase in aid was the recently introduced "Ukraine Support Credit" (worth €90 billion). Within its framework, European institutions allocated about €11 billion over these two months.
Structure of the allocated funds:
- 01Direct military aid – €4.3 billion.
- 02Financial and humanitarian support – €6.7 billion.
In addition to the allocation of funds under the €90 billion credit for Kyiv, European countries also provided funding individually:
- 01Germany allocated €900 million for direct military aid.
- 02Denmark – €600 million.
- 03Netherlands – €500 million.
In the framework of financial and humanitarian aid, the largest amounts were allocated by the UK – €1.5 billion, Sweden – €360 million, and Norway – €140 million, IfW reported.
