Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said that the European Union is making a major strategic mistake by supporting the war in Ukraine. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Speaking on the program "Saturday Dialogues," Fico said: "The fact that the European Union is currently supporting the war in Ukraine is a major strategic mistake."
He stated that the conflict in Ukraine cannot be resolved by military means and that peace in Europe is impossible without Russia.
Earlier, Fico said that Slovakia's joining the "Coalition of the Willing" contradicts the state's peace-based policy. According to him, Slovakia does not provide military or financial aid to Ukraine, only humanitarian support.
