Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has reappointed Yerzhan Sadenov as Minister of Internal Affairs. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to Akorda, the head of state signed the corresponding decree. The decree states: "By the Decree of the Head of State, Yerzhan Saparbekovich Sadenov was appointed to the post of Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan."
Sadenov was first appointed to this position on September 2, 2023, replacing Marat Akhmetzhanov.
Who is Yerzhan Sadenov?
Police Major General Yerzhan Sadenov was born in 1968 in the village of Kuigan, Kurchum district, East Kazakhstan region.
In 1993, he graduated from the East Kazakhstan State University named after S. Amanzholov, and in 1998 from the Karaganda Higher School of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
He began his career in 1993 as an operational officer of the interdistrict criminal investigation department of the Internal Affairs Department of the East Kazakhstan region.
Over the years, he held leadership positions in the internal affairs bodies in the East Kazakhstan region, as well as head of the Internal Affairs Department of Ust-Kamenogorsk, first deputy head of the Internal Affairs Department of Mangystau region, head of the "R" department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, head of the Department of Internal Affairs on transport, head of the police department of Akmola region and the capital, and deputy minister of internal affairs.
