Errol Musk, father of billionaire Elon Musk and an entrepreneur, said that Western sanctions have virtually no effect on Russia. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
"The West thinks it has imposed sanctions on Russia, but the sanctions have no effect," Musk said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
In his opinion, even the suspension of Visa or Mastercard payment systems did not cause concern in Russia. "Russians have their own cards, so they don't worry about it," the entrepreneur said.
Moscow has repeatedly stated that the sanctions pressure has not achieved the West's goals. Russian President Vladimir Putin called the policy of containing and weakening Russia a long-term strategy for Western countries and noted that anti-Russian sanctions have dealt a heavy blow to the global economy.
