Erlan Karin has been appointed Vice President of Kazakhstan. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed the corresponding decree. The decree states: "By the decree of the Head of State, Erlan Tynymbayevich Karin was appointed Vice President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and he was relieved of his previous position."

Today, Tokayev proposed Erlan Karin's candidacy for this position. 141 deputies of the Kurultai voted in favor of Erlan Karin's candidacy, while 4 deputies abstained.
