Kazakh gymnasts Akmaral Yerekesheva and Aibota Yertaikyzy took fourth and fifth places in the individual all-around final at the 2026 Asian Games in Japan. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

Yerekesheva's performance

Yerekesheva scored 108 points across four exercises. She fell 1,200 points short of the bronze medal. The Kazakh athlete received 28,900 points for the hoop, 27,300 for the ball, 25,200 for the clubs and 26,600 for the ribbon.

Yertaikyzy's result

Yertaikyzy finished the final in fifth position with a score of 106,200 points. Her marks were 27,250 for the hoop, 26,450 for the ball, 25,700 for the clubs and 26,800 for the ribbon.

Winners and medalists

Victory went to the 2022 Asian Games champion and 2026 absolute Asian champion Takhmina Ikromova of Uzbekistan (112,950). Silver was won by China's Wang Qi (110,050), bronze by her compatriot Wang Zilu (109,200).

Qualification results

In qualification, Yerekesheva posted the best result among all participants – 111,350 points, while Yertaikyzy took fourth place with a total of 106,550.

The group all-around final will also take place today. Our team qualified for the decisive round in first place.
