Kurultai deputy Lyazzat Kozhakhmet said when the change regarding the assignment of maternity payments to men will come into force. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
In Kazakhstan, new requirements for the assignment of state benefits will come into force starting next year.
"We are currently discussing the requirements being introduced from the new year for 14 benefits. In addition, from the new year, citizens who served in military and law enforcement agencies and retired will not be able to register as unemployed. Also, men will not be provided with maternity payments; this payment is assigned only to women. There are also changes in this regard," said Lyazzat Kozhakhmet.
It is worth noting that the ministry had previously explained the procedure for assessing the material situation of families and households.
