The European Union has declared its readiness to show activity in resolving the conflict in Ukraine. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
EU representatives expressed readiness to participate in peace negotiations and provide humanitarian aid. The need to strengthen diplomatic efforts to resolve the conflict was noted.
According to EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell, the EU is ready to take all necessary measures to stabilize the situation in Ukraine. He also noted that the EU will continue financial and military assistance to Ukraine.
Earlier, the EU allocated 2 billion euros to Ukraine as military aid. In addition, the EU plans to send a special mission to monitor human rights compliance in Ukraine.
Negotiations on resolving the conflict continue in the Minsk format. EU representatives expressed their intention to actively participate in this process.
