Europe failed to reach an agreement on supplying Patriot missiles to Kyiv. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The statement was made by the head of the EU diplomatic service, Kaja Kallas, at a press conference following the meeting of EU defense ministers.
"No, today we have no concrete decisions, but there were proposals and discussions regarding these missiles, and they will continue. Unfortunately, today there was no concrete progress on this issue," she said, answering a question about whether Brussels had received concrete commitments from Greece or Spain.
The New York Times previously reported that Western countries are becoming increasingly reluctant to supply defense equipment to Kyiv because they need it themselves.
Vladimir Zelensky recently admitted that Ukraine's Armed Forces are unable to shoot down Russian ballistic missiles due to a shortage of defense equipment.
The head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, Yehor Cherniev, said the current air defense situation in Ukraine has become the worst since the conflict began.
