Social payments for cases of loss of ability to work and loss of breadwinner will increase by 8.5% from 2027. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

This was reported by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population. The ministry published a draft government resolution on the "Open Regulatory Legal Acts" ("Open RLA") portal.

The document has been submitted for public discussion until November 2, 2026.

In 2026, the monthly social payments for loss of breadwinner will be as follows:

  • 01for one dependent — 46,783 tenge;
  • 02for two people — 86,447 tenge;
  • 03for three people — 114,415 tenge;
  • 04for four people — 132,213 tenge;
  • 05for five people — 139,841 tenge;
  • 06for six or more people — 152,553 tenge.

The amount of disability benefit depends on income over the last two years, the length of participation in the social insurance system, and the degree of disability.
