ASTANA, September 8 – Sputnik. At a government meeting, Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov emphasized the importance of strengthening explanatory work among the population about the availability of jobs in the country. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

"We are forced to attract thousands of specialists from abroad to keep work going. The public should not develop the perception that there are no jobs in the country. Those who are willing to work will find a job," Bektenov said.

Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Askarbek Yertayev noted that since the beginning of the year, employers have posted 845,000 vacancies on the Electronic Labor Exchange, of which 432,000 are for blue-collar specialties.

"60-70% of citizens find employment through the Electronic Labor Exchange. At the same time, 30-40% of vacancies remain unfilled. To meet the need for available personnel, employers attract foreign labor. Every year, about 300,000 foreign citizens come to the country to work," Yertayev said.

According to him, work is being carried out jointly with akimats on this issue.
