Kazakhstan's Energy Minister Yerlan Akkenzhenov announced how much gasoline prices have changed after the removal of state regulation. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Last year, Kazakhstan abolished state regulation of gasoline prices. This April, the moratorium that had kept prices for AI-92 gasoline and diesel fuel expired.
According to the minister, prices are now determined by domestic demand and supply. "We have removed state regulation. According to my information, prices have increased by 3-4 tenge," Akkenzhenov said in an interview with journalists.
He added that the ministry will not allow a sharp rise in gasoline prices.
