Elena Rybakina received $5.5 million in prize money for her victory at the US Open-2026. This is the largest payout to a champion of a single tournament in the history of professional tennis. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

In the final, the Kazakh player defeated Arina Sabalenka 6:4, 5:7, 6:2 and became US Open champion for the first time in her career. In addition to her third Grand Slam title, the victory in New York brought Rybakina a record fee.

The total prize fund of the US Open-2026 amounted to $108 million — 20% more than last year's $90 million. The organizers provided $5.5 million each for the winners of the men's and women's singles tournaments.

Converted into tenge, Rybakina's prize money amounts to about 2.48 billion tenge. This is the amount before taxes.

Before the US Open, Rybakina's largest prize money came from her victory at the WTA Finals 2025. The Kazakh player then won all five matches and earned $5.235 million — at that time it was a record payout in women's tennis.

US Open finalist Sabalenka received $2.8 million — almost half as much as the champion.

For Rybakina, the US Open-2026 became historic for several reasons at once. In addition to her first title in New York and record prize money, following the tournament she will top the WTA ranking for the first time in her career.
