Along international and republican highways of Kazakhstan, 62 electric vehicle charging stations (EVCS) are currently operating. By 2034, their number is planned to increase to more than 300. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing AutoReport.
Where are the most?
The most EVCS are located in Almaty and Zhambyl regions — 12 each. Next are:

Where are none?
Meanwhile, four regions still remain without such stations. These are Abai, Ulytau, East Kazakhstan and Aktobe regions.
How will new ones be opened?
According to the Ministry of Transport, new EVCS will be opened as part of modern roadside service facilities. They will also include shops, rest areas for drivers, sanitary facilities and solar power plants. Financing will be provided by private investors. The ministry expects the project to create new jobs and accelerate the development of EV infrastructure.
For comparison
In 2025, there were 45 EVCS along Kazakhstan's highways. Now there are already 62, and after the project is implemented, the network will exceed 300 stations.
