As part of preparations for the 2026-2027 heating season, 384 billion tenge has been allocated this year for the repair of power plants. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the press service of the government, preparations for the heating season are ongoing without interruption. The volume of funding has been increased again – this year, facility owners have allocated 384 billion tenge solely for the repair of power plants. This is 9% more compared to last year. It is noted that these funds are generated from the electricity tariff.
Each station independently determines the most worn-out sections requiring priority repairs. Currently, five thermal power facilities are under special control in the "red" risk zone: CHP plants in Semey, Oral, Taraz, CHP-2 in Aktau, and GRES-1 in Temirtau.
By the end of the year, it is planned to reduce the average wear level of equipment at power plants to 52%.
