Kaspars Kukelis, president of EcoTon+, a company producing gas blocks (aerated concrete) for construction companies and the public, received 381.7 million tenge in remuneration for 2025. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
In 2024, he received 255.6 million tenge, meaning his salary and bonuses combined increased 1.5 times over the year. Kukelis became head of EcoTon+ on August 7, 2023.
Kukelis served as CEO of mobile operator Kcell from January 2019 to January 2021. He worked at Kcell from 2008 to 2019: as director of the marketing department from 2008 to 2013, chief commercial officer from 2013 to 2014, and chief director and board member for the retail segment from 2017 to 2019.
Financial performance
EcoTon+ posted a profit of 93.97 million tenge for 2025, compared to 2.1 billion tenge in 2024, according to its financial statements. As of end-2025, the company's retained earnings stood at 6.7 billion tenge.
EcoTon+ is Kazakhstan's largest producer of gas blocks. Revenue rose to 16.1 billion tenge in 2025 from 14.4 billion tenge in 2024. As of July 1, 99% of EcoTon+ shares are owned by Otau-K, and 1% by Mendigul Doskumbayeva. The sole participant and ultimate beneficiary of Otau-K is Farida Alisherova.
Subsidiaries
The company has several subsidiaries: EcoTon-Batys (production and sale of aerated concrete products for house building), EcoTon-Korgalzhyn (production and sale of quartz sand), EcoTon-Trans Logistic (transport services), EcoTon Stroy Invest (construction of residential and non-residential buildings, structures and roads, real estate management), and Neokhim (production and sale of lime and silicate bricks). EcoTon+ holds 100% stakes in all of them.
EcoTon+ also has a 50% stake in Ecoton-Shygys (production of wall blocks). EcoTon-Batys holds a 72.924% stake in Ecoton-Sharq (Uzbekistan), as well as branches in Atyrau, Alga and Shymkent, and a representative office in Orenburg (Russia).
Production assets
EcoTon-Batys extracts construction sand at the Sazdinskoye deposit in Aktobe – the contract expires on December 31, 2028. EcoTon-Batys also has a contract for exploration and extraction of chalk at Sarbulak-1 in the Aktobe region – valid until the end of 2032.
EcoTon-Korgalzhyn extracts sand at site No. 1 of the Korgalzhyn deposit in the Akmola region. Neokhim has a contract for exploration and extraction of sand at the Oktyabrskoye deposit in the Aktobe region – valid until the end of 2032.
