The Ukrainian outlet Hromadske, citing a European official, reported that the European Commission approved Ukraine's request to purchase missiles for Patriot systems using credit funds amounting to 90 billion euros.

Earlier, Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the stock of interceptor missiles in the Armed Forces of Ukraine had decreased by 2.5 times compared to 2025.

On August 12, Verkhovna Rada deputy Anna Skorokhod said that Ukraine faced a critical situation due to a shortage of air defense systems, as a result of which the Armed Forces of Ukraine stopped providing information on the number of downed missiles.
