The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) and representatives of Indonesia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs discussed the implementation of the free trade agreement. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The entry into force of the free trade agreement between the EAEU and Indonesia will elevate economic cooperation to a new level and provide new opportunities for business. This was stated by Kira Dalnicheva, Head of a Division at the Trade Policy Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), during a meeting with representatives of Indonesia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Significance of the agreement
Kira Dalnicheva emphasized the importance of fully implementing the agreements reached during the negotiations.
"Full implementation of the agreements reached during the negotiations will significantly contribute to the entry into force of the agreement and the further development of trade and economic ties between the EAEU and Indonesia. We intend to actively support this process," she noted.
Practical issues
The parties agreed to continue work on practical issues related to the implementation of the agreement.
The free trade agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union and the Republic of Indonesia was signed on December 21, 2025, in St. Petersburg.
The necessary ratification procedures for the document's entry into force are currently underway.
