The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) has decided to reduce the import customs duty rate on niobium-aluminum ligature in the EAEU to zero until October 31, 2028. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Niobium-aluminum ligature is a silver-gray metal granule with a size of up to 3 mm. It is used in metallurgy as an alloying component in the production of titanium alloys. It is also used in the production of light, heat-resistant and durable parts, as well as complex alloys.
EEC Trade Minister Andrey Slepnev noted that this decision will help reduce the cost of finished products by reducing the cost of purchasing raw materials.
