Kazakhstanis have been warned about a new scam involving electronic digital signatures (EDS). This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Scammers may pose as employees of the National Certification Authority (NCA) and inform users that their digital signature has expired, offering to renew it over the phone. They also ask for a code from SMS or a link.
Kazakhstanis were reminded that NCA employees do not call users. Notifications about the validity of digital signatures are sent via SMS and email.
