Traffic flow across EAEU border in Kazakhstan up 19% in a year

According to the State Revenue Committee, traffic flow across the EAEU border in Kazakhstan increased by 19% over a year. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

1.3 million vehicles in eight months

A total of 1.3 million vehicles passed through Kazakhstan's road checkpoints on the EAEU external border over eight months.

Growth on the Kazakhstan-China section

On the Kazakhstan-China section, traffic flow increased by 24.5%, while transit from China rose by 56.1%.

Border crossing time reduced

Trucks now cross the border without additional inspection in 30 minutes instead of nine hours.

Checkpoint capacity

The capacity of checkpoints has increased 2.6 times since 2022.
