Minister for Integration and Macroeconomics of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Daniyar Imanaliev met with Zimbabwe's Ambassador to Russia Mark Marongwe. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, the EEC minister proposed developing mutual cooperation on regulatory procedures within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) for Zimbabwe's government bodies and business representatives.
"The common market of the EAEU countries may be of interest to Zimbabwean businesses. Potential partners for cooperation could include companies in mining, technology, agriculture, and energy," said Daniyar Imanaliev.
The parties also discussed the possibility of concluding a memorandum of interaction between the EEC and the government of Zimbabwe.
Ambassador Mark Marongwe emphasized the importance of trade and economic ties between Zimbabwe and the EAEU member states. According to him, the volume of cooperation has nearly doubled.
