The volume of machinery and equipment shipments from the EAEU to Indonesia increased by 41%. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
This was stated by Daniyar Imanaliev, Minister for Integration and Macroeconomics of the Eurasian Economic Commission. He met with Dyah Roro Esti Widya Putri, Deputy Minister of Trade of Indonesia, in the Philippines.
Key trade partner
Indonesia is the EAEU's main trade and economic partner in the ASEAN region. This was noted by EEC Minister Daniyar Imanaliev.
Growth in trade turnover
By the end of 2025, trade turnover between the EAEU countries and Indonesia increased by 12%. This includes:
- 01the volume of machinery and equipment supplies increased by 41%;
- 02supplies of wood products increased by 36%.
Also, in the first half of 2026, trade in chemical industry products increased by 31%.
Minister's assessment
"These are high figures, and we have opportunities to increase them in other product categories as well," said Imanaliev.
The minister also spoke about the development of Eurasian economic integration and emphasized the importance of direct contacts between business representatives of the Union countries and Indonesia.
