The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission has introduced amendments to the list of voluntary application standards for the Customs Union technical regulation "On Food Safety" (TR CU 021/2011). This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

"The list of standards is supplemented with three documents in accordance with the program for the development of interstate standards for this technical regulation and removes three national standards of the Eurasian Economic Union countries that served as the basis for the development of the interstate standards included in the list," the statement said.

All three documents in the list are also being updated, as work on their revision has been completed in accordance with the program.

Amendments to the lists of standards enter into force 180 calendar days after the official publication of the EEC Board's decision.

The Commission reported that such amendments are introduced without public discussion procedures or consideration at a meeting of the relevant consultative committee, based on proposals from authorized standardization bodies, provided that all EAEU countries comply with such standards.
