St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Jordan Walker has been confirmed as the fifth participant in the 2026 Home Run Derby. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Associated Press.
The 24-year-old will compete in the event on Monday in Philadelphia. He joins previously announced participants: Boston's Willson Contreras, Kansas City's Jac Caglianone, Tampa Bay's Junior Caminero, and New York Yankees' Ben Rice. The remaining three participants have not yet been announced.
Walker is a first-time All-Star having a breakout season, with 21 home runs ranking fifth in the National League. The 2020 first-round draft pick is batting .294 with an .889 OPS and leads the majors with 70 RBIs.
He will be the eighth Cardinals player to compete in the derby, joining Jack Clark (1985), Ray Lankford (1997), Mark McGwire (1998-99), Jim Edmonds (2003), Albert Pujols (2003, 2007, 2009, 2022), Matt Holliday (2010-11), and Carlos Beltran (2012). No Cardinals player has ever won the derby.
