The governor of Mangystau region, Nurdaulet Kilybai, met with legendary actor, director and martial artist Jackie Chan, who arrived in the region to participate in the filming of the international feature film 'Armour of God: Ultimatum'. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

According to the regional administration, one of the main filming locations will be the world-famous Bozzhyra tract. The choice of Mangystau for the implementation of a large-scale international project, according to the authorities, indicates the growing interest of the global film industry in the natural landscapes of Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, the head of the region noted that Mangystau's participation in the filming of such a high-level film will draw attention to the tourism potential of the region, as well as contribute to the development of international cooperation and attract investment.

"The participation of the Mangystau region in such a large-scale international film project opens up new opportunities for the development of tourism, attracting investment and promoting the region on the world stage," said Nurdaulet Kilybai.

In turn, Jackie Chan thanked for the warm welcome and emphasized that the natural landscapes of Mangystau have unique cinematic potential and will become one of the bright parts of the future film.

The project 'Armour of God: Ultimatum' is being implemented with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan. The film is produced by the Kazakh company Sәlem Entertainment.

Earlier, Kursiv reported that $50 million will be spent on filming a movie with Jackie Chan in Kazakhstan.
