The Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan (SAMK) issued a statement regarding the increasing cases of violence against women. Muslims consider such facts unacceptable and strongly condemn them. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
As noted by SAMK representatives on Instagram, it is painful to hear about some events taking place in Kazakh society. Especially in the family, it is sad to see a woman suffering and being subjected to violence.
"A woman is the keeper of the family hearth. For someone she is a beloved daughter, for someone a dear mother, for someone a beloved wife. She seeks protection and warmth. Therefore, a man's task is to take care of her.
Our noble Prophet Muhammad said: 'The best of you are those who are best to their families.' These words contain deep meaning. A man's strength is not in his fists. True strength lies in patience, in being a support for a loved one, not a cause of their tears," the organization noted.
SAMK noted that a hand raised in anger and harsh words can leave a deep mark on a person's heart.
"The family should be a place where a person feels most safe. A woman should live in her own home, not in fear. Every father and mother who lovingly raised a daughter and sends her to a new family with great hopes wish only one thing — that she be happy where she goes. Let us not betray this trust. Protecting a woman is a man's duty," SAMK concluded.
Earlier, Kursiv wrote that in Kazakhstan's social networks, the resonance around the tragic death of 19-year-old Madina Rashidkyzy in the Zhambyl region has not subsided. According to relatives and publications in Kaznet, the girl was subjected to brutal violence by her husband after a domestic conflict, the reason for which was a eaten children's cake "Barney".
