A concert titled 'Dala myzdyn unisin sen, dombyra' dedicated to the National Dombra Day took place at the amphitheater of the Kazakh National University of Arts named after K. Baiseitova. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

The main guest of the evening was Ibragim Eskendir, laureate of the state youth award 'Daryn' and founder of the national school of arts 'Altyn dombyra'.

Together with the school's young dombra players, he performed traditional kuis and folk songs, winning the sincere sympathy of the audience.

'Dombra is not just an instrument. It is the history, language and soul of our people. Such evenings give the younger generation a huge incentive to honor our national heritage. I express my gratitude to the students and teachers of the Altyn dombyra school, as well as to all residents who came to this evening,' said Maksat Samatuly, akim of the Saraishyk district.

Today, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated Kazakhstanis on National Dombra Day and wished every family in the republic peace, happiness and well-being. According to the head of state, with the help of this musical instrument, the connection between eras and generations was preserved, because Dombra is the voice of the nation, which sounds soulfully both in joy and in trials, strengthening the spirit and unity of the people.
