The weighted average dollar exchange rate at the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) on July 17 was 470.54 tenge. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
Compared to the previous trading day, the US currency fell by 1.53 tenge. On July 16, the weighted average dollar rate was 472.07 tenge.
Over the week, the national currency strengthened by 7.28 tenge. On Monday, July 13, the weighted average dollar rate on KASE was 477.11 tenge, and by the end of trading on Friday it dropped to 470.54 tenge.
According to the exchange, the minimum dollar rate during trading was 468.75 tenge, the maximum was 473.58 tenge. The closing rate was 471.66 tenge.
The dollar trading volume reached $359.7 million, with 1,055 deals concluded.
According to Kurs.kz, the maximum selling rate of the dollar at exchange offices in Astana at the time of publication was 475 tenge, in Almaty – 474 tenge.
The official exchange rate of the National Bank for July 17 was set at 472.34 tenge per dollar. For July 18–20, according to the current procedure for determining the official rate, it will be 470.54 tenge.
