First facility of Data Center Valley to launch in June 2027

The government discussed the progress of the Data Center Valley project. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

The Data Center Valley will be built in Pavlodar region. The construction of the first facility with a capacity of 50 MW is in an active phase, said Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development Zhaslan Madiyev.

Excavation works for the buildings of energy centers and AI factories are 90% complete. Foundation laying for energy centers has begun, and administrative and utility buildings are under construction.

Olzhas Bektenov held a meeting on the implementation of the Data Center Valley project. By the end of December 2026, the main buildings of the data center, power units, administrative and utility complex, checkpoints, and part of external utility networks will be erected.

Commissioning works will be completed in May 2027. The first facility is scheduled to be put into operation in June 2027.
