The website and app of Dodo Pizza have become unavailable in Kazakhstan. Due to the outage, customers cannot place delivery, pickup or in-store orders, the chain's Kazakh account said on Threads. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

A nighttime outage

The company explained that a large-scale accident occurred overnight at the cloud provider whose infrastructure hosts its services. The name of the provider was not given in the message.

The chain's specialists are restoring the system together with the provider. Exact timelines for resuming operations have not yet been announced — the company promises to report when the services become available again.

Refunds promised

Customers who have already paid for an order but did not receive it will be refunded after a check.

"If you have already paid for an order and it did not arrive, your money will not be lost: we will check everything and return it," Dodo Pizza said.

The chain also apologized to customers for the inconvenience.

What happened earlier

Earlier, Kursiv wrote about outages in the operation of Yandex Go in Kazakhstan, which left users unable to order taxis and delivery. The company confirmed technical problems and explained that faults in individual components of a distributed infrastructure can affect the availability of services in several countries at once.

Before that, Dodo Pizza's IT system suffered a cyberattack, which the company confirmed on its Telegram channel. Attackers could have gained access to the names, contacts, addresses and order histories of some customers. The chain said payment data was not affected.
