Dmitry Kiselyov, Director General of the international media group Rossiya Segodnya and host of the program Vesti Nedeli, has been named a laureate of the TEFI-2026 national television award in the category 'Host of an Informational and Analytical Final Program'. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

The award ceremony for the TEFI-2026 prize in the category 'Informational and Socio-Political Broadcasting' took place on Monday in Moscow.

'I want to talk about protecting television from the internet. Before, when I came to this program, many people said, "The internet will defeat television." Now it is evident that the internet has become part of television. We get information from the internet, but that is not the main thing. Emotions, deep content, trust, and warmth are more on television,' Kiselyov said while accepting the award.

'I wish that radioactive ash never falls on you anywhere,' he concluded.

He is receiving the TEFI-2026 award as a host for the second time — he first received the award in 2025.

Additionally, the program Vesti Nedeli won in the category 'Informational and Analytical Final Program'. The program is produced by VGTRK and airs on the Rossiya 1 channel.
