The Kostanay city court has ruled on a case of poor-quality cheiloplasty (lip plastic surgery). The defendant, who performed surgical interventions without specialized education or a license, was ordered to pay over 1.3 million tenge. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
In October 2024, a city resident underwent the operation for 120,000 tenge. Dissatisfied with the result, in April 2025 the same 'specialist' performed a second correction for an additional 90,000 tenge. As a result, the patient developed severe scar deformation of the upper lip.
A forensic medical examination and an inspection by the authorized body established:

- 02The cheiloplasty was performed in violation of standards, leading to complications.
- 03The patient suffered moral and material damage.
The court ordered the fake surgeon to pay 1.3 million tenge in compensation. The court decision has not yet entered into legal force.
